Voters can cast their ballot by mail, or drop their mail-in ballot at a vote center or any of the county’s 109 official drop boxes which are open 24 hours a day, and on Election Day until 8 p.m. Ballots were delivered to your mailbox around December 9th.
Not Registered to Vote? Those who missed the Dec. 15 voter registration deadline can register and vote at the same time by casting a provisional ballot. Just visit the registrar of voters at 1555 Berger Drive in San Jose, Same-day voter registration will be available through Election Day,
If you cannot find your ballot, you can go to 1555 Berger Drive, San Jose (Building 2) and request a replacement ballot.
If you already have your ballot, please fill it out and drop it into a Registrar of Voter drop box or hand-deliver to any vote center or one of the county’s 109 official drop boxes by 8 PM on December 30, 2025. These drop boxes are accessible 24 hours a day and remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Starting December 27, do not use USPS mailboxes, as your ballot may not reach the Registrar of Voters in time. Instead, please use an official ROV drop-off location.Voters can return their ballots by mail, provided they are postmarked on or before Election Day.
Most vote centers are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during the early voting period, though library locations in Gilroy, Milpitas and Saratoga will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Dec. 27–29. All 38 centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Dec. 30.
Centers are spread throughout the county – including San Jose, Palo Alto and Sunnyvale – and are located in libraries, community centers and churches, among other spaces.
